Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 7, 2025

TrackHive ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website track-hive.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data. By using TrackHive, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

What TrackHive Does

TrackHive is a free package tracking tool. You enter a shipping tracking number, and TrackHive identifies the carrier (USPS, FedEx, UPS, or DHL) and opens the carrier's official tracking page with your number pre-filled. TrackHive does not have its own tracking infrastructure — it works with the official carrier systems.

Information We Collect

Tracking Numbers

When you enter a tracking number, it is processed entirely in your browser. Tracking numbers are not sent to our servers. Your recent tracking history is stored locally in your browser's localStorage, which means it stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Usage Data

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized information about how visitors use the site. This includes:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • General geographic location (country and city level)
  • Referring website or search query that brought you to TrackHive

This data is aggregated and used only to understand how to improve the site. We cannot identify individual users from this data. Google's use of your data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising Data

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on TrackHive. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. Google's advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.

Cookies

TrackHive uses cookies in the following ways:

  • Google Analytics cookies — used to collect anonymized usage statistics (as described above)
  • Google AdSense cookies — used to serve relevant advertisements
  • Browser localStorage — used to save your recent tracking history locally on your device only

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features.

Third-Party Services

TrackHive integrates with the following third-party services:

When you click a "Track" button, you are taken directly to the official carrier's website (USPS, FedEx, UPS, or DHL). TrackHive is not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.

Data Retention

We do not store personal data on our servers. Tracking numbers you enter are never transmitted to us. Your local tracking history (stored in your browser's localStorage) remains on your device until you clear your browser's site data.

Children's Privacy

TrackHive does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Because we do not store personal data beyond anonymized analytics, there is typically no personal data for us to provide or delete. To exercise any rights or ask questions, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TrackHive after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
